Fix: Leaking Pipe Repair in the Wall and Ground

Service Request: This apartment complex owner called us worried because the tile floor was wet and the wall paint was beginning to bubble in one of his investment properties. This is a clear sign that there’s a water leak coming from somewhere in the wall. When this situation is found, it’s important to call a plumber for leaking pipe repair as soon as possible.

Work Done: Property Doctor’s plumbing technician inspected the leak and found that the water was coming from the kitchen drain pipe of the unit directly above. Every time the tenant in the top unit used his kitchen sink, the water leaked from the pipe and flooded the bedroom wall and floors below.

Our technician opened the wall, and had to jack hammer about 6 ft long and 2 ft wide section of the floor to access the leaking pipes. He replaced the entire kitchen drain line all the way to the main line, and replaced a leaking water line as well.

Once the broken pipe was repaired, the plumber replaced the concrete and repaired the wall including installation of the new sheet rock, mud, tape, texture and paint. He finished by installing the baseboard and cleaning the area.
